Meet Carolina
Carolina is many things – a mother, an immigrant, and lifelong community advocate. Born in Progreso, Honduras, Carolina was raised by a Medical Doctor, and nonprofit advocate and educator. From an early age, Carolina's parents have instilled the importance of serving and advocating for disadvantaged community members.
Carolina lives in Olympia with her husband and two daughters, who attend public schools. She is an active volunteer and advocate, working with local organizations such as Centro de la Raza, Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, and Centro Integral Educativo Latino de Olympia.
In 2020, she ran for Thurston County Commissioner against an incumbent and won, and has used her position to advance climate and housing reform in the 35th District. Throughout her life, Carolina has remained dedicated to serving diverse and underprivileged households in her district, and will continue to do so as a State Senator.
